General Bookings

Weekdays – All bookings accepted, large and small.

Weekends -
General Bookings – Bookings available for groups of 4+, but only in the morning, last booking start time accepted 11.30am.
Please note, we will reserve you a table but you will need to order downstairs, from the regular menu, at the counter. Outside seating for large groups not available for bookings.

On weekends we are open for walk in customers all day. We have a lot of space and seats, but please note if it does rain our seating is limited.

Please read below for bookings in our function rooms Nanas Nook, The Parlour and Pops Place.

We have 3 function rooms to pick from.
Nanas Nook – 6 to 12 people.
Pops Place – 15 to 20 people.
The Parlour – Various configurations available. Max 30.
Read below for specific room hire rates.

Function Packages
Option 1 -
Set high tea menu. $40 per person.
High tea set menu consists of 2 scones each, jam and cream, a selection of ribbon sandwiches, petite cakes and 2 drinks each.
Drinks are set at jugs of 4 different ice teas to start, and a selection of 4 different hot teas second. You can choose all ice tea or all hot tea if you prefer.
Gluten Free and Lactose free available. 

Option 2-
The Tea Cosy tasting menu – $40 per person.
Tasting menu consists of a mix of all our most popular menu items.
* Cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches
* Galway salmon served on cheese scones
* Ploughmans lunch served on cheese scones
* Devonshire tea with cream and jam
Drinks are set at jugs of 4 different ice teas to start, and a selection of 4 different hot teas second. You can choose all ice tea or all hot tea if you prefer.

Booking Times
2 weekend session times.
11am to 1.30pm
2.30pm to 5pm

Corkage and Cakeage
Included in price.

Decoration
You are welcome to decorate the room, but please no scatter or confetti.
Booking time includes time to decorate. Depending on bookings prior to yours there may be an extra 30 minutes to decorate before your booking .

Function Room Details. 

* Nanna’s Nook
Nanna’s nook is a beautiful small room and just perfect for a cosy, intimate function. Full of beautiful crockery, tapestries, knitting baskets, balloon back chairs and your own record player to play.
Please note, this room is very popular and can be booked out months in advance. Get in early to avoid disappointment.

Room hire
No room hire, but minimum of 6 people will be charged.

Privacy
This is a private room with a closable door.

Pops Place
Pops Place is a larger room upstairs. It is bright and airy and has an adjoining balcony (available with room hire).

Table configuration
4 Tables.

Room hire
This room has an adjoining balcony which will be open to the public. If you would like to hire the balcony as well it is an additional $250 on top of bill. This is because the balcony is a vey popular spot with our regular customers. It is a great view of the markets below.

Privacy

This room has an adjoining balcony which will be open to the public. We run a small partition across for regular customers to get out to balcony. With room hire this is a 100% private area with a closable door.

The Parlour
Our newest room downstairs “The Parlour” is a fabulous larger space, which is perfect for a spread out, free form, function.

Minimun 20 Maximum 30

Table configuration
Free form table configuration, allowing for people to move around if they like.

Room hire
This room is $300 to hire, on top of menu price. This is a very popular room, as it’s full of quirky furniture, knitting baskets and great views.

Privacy

Completely private with closable doors. Please note there are 2 windows looking into this room.

Present Service
Want an awesome take home gift for your guests? We can arrange a basket of our amazing jams or teas (or both!) for your guests to take home at the end of your party. Jams and teas are $9.50 each, discount available for above 10.

Fine Print
Guest numbers must be confirmed 24 hours before function commences.
If less people turn up than confirmed you will still be charged their full rate as The Tea Cosy has to provide staff, food and space for this confirmed seat.
